Easton, 1897
Strong, the father of the prophet Isaiah (2 Kings 19:2, 2 Kings 19:20; 2 Kings 20:1; Isaiah 1:1; Isaiah 2:1). As to his personal history little is positively known. He is supposed by some to have been the "man of God" spoken of in 2 Chronicles 25:7, 2 Chronicles 25:8.
