Schools of the Prophets

(1 Samuel 19:18-24; 2 Kings 2:3, 2 Kings 2:5, 2 Kings 2:7, 2 Kings 2:12, 2 Kings 2:15) were instituted for the purpose of training young men for the prophetical and priestly offices. (See PROPHET; SAMUEL.)
