Morning prayer
Day 30 · For my studies
Good morning. Before your day begins, take a pause. Breathe slowly and remember that God is here with you.
Praise
Psalms 8:3-63When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
The Word
Daniel 1:17As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
Prayer
For my studies
God of all knowledge, you gave Daniel and his companions understanding and the ability to learn. Today I bring you my studies and everything I need to learn. Open my mind to understand, give me memory to remember and discipline not to get distracted. Help me organize my time well and not leave everything to the last minute. Bless my teachers and my classmates as well. If I have an exam or a hard assignment today, take away the nerves that make my mind go blank and give me calm to do my best. May what I learn serve to help others and to honor you. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
For others
Think of someone who needs your prayer today and name them before God. You can write down your petitions in “My petitions”.
The Lord's Prayer
Matthew 6:9-13Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
