Morning prayer
Day 11 · When I wake up with no strength
Good morning. Before your day begins, take a pause. Breathe slowly and remember that God is here with you.
Praise
Psalms 28:6-96Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. 7The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. 8The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. 9Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
The Word
Isaiah 40:29-3129He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Prayer
When I wake up with no strength
God of my strength, today I got up with little energy. My body feels heavy and so does my spirit. You know my exhaustion and you are not angry with me for it. You give power to the weary and increase the strength of those who have none left. Renew my vigor to do what is necessary, and help me set aside for later what can wait. Teach me to rest when I can, without guilt. Meanwhile, I want to wait on you, trusting that you will hold me up step by step. May I not walk today in my own strength, but in yours. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
For others

The Lord's Prayer
Matthew 6:9-13Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Blessing
Hebrews 13:20-21Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
May God be with you today.
