Morning prayer

Day 22 · My words today

Good morning. Before your day begins, take a pause. Breathe slowly and remember that God is here with you.

Praise

Psalms 34:11-15

11Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 12What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? 13Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. 14Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. 15The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

The Word

Psalms 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Prayer

My words today

My rock and my redeemer, today I will say many words. Some will be important and others will pass without anyone noticing. I want all of them to please you. Keep my mouth from criticism, gossip, mockery and constant complaining. May my words build up, comfort and speak the truth in love. And before my words, purify what I think and meditate on as well, because that is where what I say is born. At the end of the day, may I have no regret for having hurt anyone with my tongue. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

For others

Think of someone who needs your prayer today and name them before God. You can write down your petitions in “My petitions”.

The Lord's Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Blessing

Numbers 6:24-26

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

May God be with you today.
