Matthew 6:34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Prayer
Just for today
Beloved Father, my mind is already racing toward tomorrow, toward next week, toward problems that haven't even arrived yet. Today I give you those worries that steal my peace. You teach me that each day has enough trouble of its own and that I don't need to carry tomorrow's. Help me live this day attentively, doing what is mine to do now and entrusting the rest to your care. When anxiety comes back, remind me that you are already in the future I fear. Give me a calm heart and eyes that are attentive to the present. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
